St. Vincent de Paul Parish
Sheffield Garden Walk (2008)

Overview:
The Sheffield Garden Walk, sponsored by the Sheffield Neighbors Association (SNA), is celebrating its 40 Anniversary this year and will take place the weekend of July 19th & 20th, from 12 Noon to 10 p.m. both days.

St. Vincent's, along with several other neighborhood organizations and businesses, each hosts several tents staffed by volunteers selling assorted foods and drinks. All revenues from these activities benefit local charities and schools.

This event is the biggest fundraiser for St. Vincent's and all funds raised at our tents benefit the Church's Seton Food Pantry and Seton Sandwich Kitchen, which serve the poor and homeless in our neighborhood.

Location:
The Festival will be setup on Sheffield between Belden & Webster (see map). Travel there by bike or the CTA (Red and Brown lines stop at the Fullerton 'L' station).

If you need to drive, parking is available for $6/12 hours at DePaul's Clifton Parking Deck, located at 2330 N. Clifton (1136W) just south of Fullerton; or $12/12 hours at the DePaul Parking Garage on Sheffield (see map).

St. Vincent visitors and volunteers may find it easier to enter the festival at the Webster Entrance (main gate). An information booth will also be located there at which brochures and maps will be available describing the local gardens open for visitor tours.

Volunteering:
The Special Events Commission is looking for numerous volunteers to help with the event, from shift leaders to servers to volunteers working a two- or three-hour shift in one of our six tents.

The St. Vincent tents will be located immediately east of the Church (see the green dashes on the map), and volunteers should sign-in and report to the shift leader 15 minutes before starting their shifts. The shift leader will instruct the volunteers on the details of each job. Afterwards enjoy the food, fun and entertainment of the festival!
