Parish Leadership Commissions
Overview
Parishioners are actively involved in the daily life and direction
of St. Vincent de Paul Parish.
Our lay leadership is developed and maintained through St. Vincent's
Parish Leadership Commissions.
Currently, six commissions oversee and coordinate the work of our Parish. Representatives from each commission along with three executive officers and five at-large members comprise our General Council of Lay Leadership. Each commission, as well as the General Council, has developed a mission, vision, and set of goals. Parishioners work closely with the Pastor and Staff to ensure that our Parish Leadership Commissions provide opportunities for all in our community to contribute their time, talent and treasure. The commissions are always open to new members who would like to join in the work of St. Vincent's.
Commissions:
General CouncilProvids a central point of interaction among all the commissions and nurtures the organizational development required to advance the mission of the Parish. Communications Produces publications (print and online), and serves the parish as a resource for media relations and program promotion. Finance Serves the parish by promoting stewardship through time, talent, and treasure, assessing the financial state of the parish, and establishes the Parish budget. Outreach Serves those in need in the St. Vincent de Paul community with programs and services that foster hope and self-esteem, in a safe, caring environment. Special Events Is the focal point for community building activities, building strong and deep ties within the parish and with the outside community. Worship Provides an inviting, pleasing environment by enhancing the liturgy, and encouraging, organizing, and educating liturgical ministers.
